Davante Adams expected to return to Los Angeles Rams soon after surgery

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams is expected to return to action sooner than initially projected following successful surgery for a hamstring injury sustained during a Week 6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

While the initial recovery timeline was estimated at six to ten weeks, Rams head coach Sean McVay stated that Adams is closer to the shorter end of that range. After being placed on injured reserve on October 20, Adams is eligible to return as early as Week 12 for the matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

Prior to his injury, Adams recorded 480 yards and four touchdowns through six games. His absence has impacted the Rams' passing offense, with wide receiver Puka Nacua and tight end Davis Allen seeing increased roles in his stead.
