Davante Adams hamstring injury and recovery

Overview

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams sustained a ruptured hamstring during a Week 6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Initially, head coach Sean McVay projected a recovery timeline of six to 10 weeks for the player, who had recorded 480 yards and four touchdowns prior to the injury.

Following successful surgery, the recovery outlook has improved. McVay stated that Adams is closer to the shorter end of the original estimate. After being placed on injured reserve on October 20, Adams may be eligible to return as early as Week 12 for the game against the Green Bay Packers.
