David Almansa takes record Moto3 pole at Aragon GP

David Almansa secured a record-breaking pole position for the Moto3 Aragon Grand Prix at MotorLand Aragón. Driving for Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP, Almansa set a blistering time of 1:56.347, successfully fending off competition from the Aspar Team riders.

In the qualifying session, Almansa managed to take the top spot on his first attempt. He was closely followed by Marco Morelli and championship leader Maximo Quiles, who was making a return to racing after recovering from a collarbone injury sustained at Silverstone. The session saw high track temperatures, reaching up to 45 degrees Celsius.

Earlier in the weekend, practice sessions highlighted various challenges for riders. Alex Marquez noted difficulties with front-end grip and braking stability at the circuit, particularly around Turn 12. In Moto3 practice, Almansa also showed strong form, leading the initial sessions before his successful qualifying run.
