David Lisnard sees surge in French presidential polling
David Lisnard, the Mayor of Cannes and leader of the Nouvelle Énergie party, has seen a significant rise in recent political polling for the 2027 French presidential election. According to an Ifop-Fiducial poll, Lisnard’s voting intentions rose from 3.5% to 6% in just two weeks, placing him ahead of candidates such as Gabriel Attal, Bruno Retailleau, and Éric Zemmour.
This surge is accompanied by an exponential increase in social media presence. Lisnard has gained hundreds of thousands of followers on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, fueled by a viral campaign using the hashtag ‘#ilsepassequelquechose’. His digital strategy has outperformed other major contenders, including Édouard Philippe.
Meanwhile, Édouard Philippe remains a notable figure in the race, holding 15% of voting intentions in an Opinionway poll, placing him in a tie with Raphaël Glucksmann and Jean-Luc Mélenchon. While Lisnard is emerging as a digital-savvy outsider, Philippe continues to position himself as a candidate of order and stability.
