Veracruz launches free cultural program and festivals throughout August 2026

The state of Veracruz is hosting a series of free cultural activities in August 2026. At the Centro Cultural Leyes de Reforma and Casa Benito Juárez, children can join the "Exploradores de la Reforma" workshop, an instrumental recital by the Marching Band of Veracruz, an Indigenous Peoples Day oral‑tradition session, and a photography workshop for seniors.

In Xalapa, the Jardín de las Esculturas offers a free summer course called "Juventudes en las Artes Escénicas" for youths aged 12‑19, organized by the Veracruz Secretariat of Culture and the collective Alicante‑Artes Escénicas. The 37th International Book Fair (FILAH) features Veracruz as an invited honor, with the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra, folk ensemble Tlen Huicani, and over 350 activities including workshops, conferences and a film showcase; France participates as a guest country.

Additionally, the Bohemia Entre Amigos concert at the Foro Boca presents Veracruz and Chiapas musicians in an intimate program directed by producer David Marini, highlighting classic boleros and original songs.
