Dawid Kacprzyk begins new medical role amid ongoing investigations
Dawid Kacprzyk, a physician at the center of a scandal involving the South Hospital in Warsaw, has reportedly started a new position at a medical center in Jaktorów. Reports indicate he has been working there for approximately one week, providing support for primary healthcare services and issuing prescriptions.
While some reports describe him as practicing as an internist, the spokesperson for the Supreme Medical Council, Piotr Pisula, noted that the term “internist” typically refers to a specialist in internal diseases. He clarified that if the designation was merely a registration error, it should be viewed differently, but noted that such terminology is improper.
Kacprzyk is currently under investigation by the Professional Responsibility Ombudsman and the prosecutor's office. The investigations involve allegations of fraud and abuse of authority related to his previous role, where he was accused of providing preferential treatment to politicians. As of now, no decision has been made to suspend his right to practice medicine, meaning he remains legally permitted to work while the disciplinary proceedings continue.
