Daytona reaches $1B valuation with $60M Series B for AI agent infrastructure
Daytona, a San Francisco-based cloud infrastructure provider for AI agents, has reached a $1 billion valuation following a $60 million Series B funding round. The round was led by FirstMark and included participation from various tech executives and institutional investors such as Qualcomm Ventures and Samsung Next.
The company provides isolated, sandboxed computing environments that allow autonomous AI agents to execute complex workflows, run code, and manage persistent states across Linux, Windows, and macOS. This infrastructure is used for both post-training by AI labs and for serving enterprise clients where agents perform background tasks.
CEO Ivan Burazin noted that Daytona’s technology is designed to be at least 36% faster than Kubernetes for these specific jobs, which helps optimize resource usage. Burazin also predicted a future “CPU crunch” that could exceed the current GPU shortage, as most AI agent sandboxes rely heavily on CPU resources.
