DC Comics enters new era under Josh Silverman following Paramount-Warner merger

Following the $110 billion merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery, DC Comics has been integrated into the Skydance Products & Publishing division. Josh Silverman, formerly the President of Global Products and Experiences at Paramount Skydance, has assumed leadership of the division. His role focuses on overseeing the business structure, licensing, and consumer products for DC Comics and Paramount Global Publishing, rather than creative editorial decisions.

In the cinematic landscape, James Gunn’s DC Universe continues to evolve. While the Superman reboot received moderate expectations for avoiding traditional origin stories, the Supergirl film faced commercial challenges, reportedly earning approximately $126 million against a $170 million production budget.
