Decathlon to open flagship store at Centro Oberhausen

Decathlon is constructing a new flagship store at the Centro shopping center in Oberhausen, Germany. The facility is located on a former steelworks site and is scheduled to open in mid-October 2026.

The building features a 4,000-square-meter sales area and a 500-square-meter outdoor area designed for customers to test products. The structure includes a green facade with an integrated irrigation system. To appeal to families, the store will introduce child-sized shopping carts and provide dedicated bicycle parking for both customers and employees.
