Deep Purple releases 'Arrogant Boy' single and announces July album SPLAT!

British hard‑rock band Deep Purple has issued a new single titled “Arrogant Boy,” accompanied by a performance video that premiered on YouTube. Frontman Ian Gillan describes the song as a story about a character named Billy who cannot read or write and chooses to speak out against the elite.

The group also announced that their next studio album, SPLAT!, will be released on 3 July through earMUSIC. Produced by long‑time collaborator Bob Ezrin, the album explores themes of transformation and humanity’s evolution beyond physical existence. It will be offered in multiple formats, including CD, vinyl, cassette and deluxe box sets.

In parallel with the album launch, Deep Purple has outlined a 86‑show world tour across 28 countries. After recent dates in Asia, the band will perform a series of European summer shows in June, followed by the SPLAT! World Tour in North America starting in August, with additional arena dates in Europe in the fall and South American concerts slated for December.
