Deep Purple to Release New Album 'Splat!' on July 3, 2026
English rock band Deep Purple announced their 24th studio album, Splat!, scheduled for release on 3 July 2026. Produced by veteran Bob Ezrin, the record aims to recapture the energy of the group’s 1970s output. The single “Diablo” features a guest guitar part by Grammy‑winning country‑rock star Keith Urban and showcases the band’s classic riff‑driven sound.
Band members Ian Gillan, Ian Paice and newcomer guitarist Simon McBride said the album’s theme explores transformation rather than apocalyptic endings. Deep Purple will support the release with a world tour of 86 concerts across 28 countries, including French dates at Paris’s Adidas Arena on 22 October and subsequent shows in Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Nantes and Lyon. The album will be issued on CD, cassette, vinyl, digital and special‑edition box sets.
