Deer Valley Resort hosts elite mountain biking and community races

Deer Valley Resort recently hosted the Fox US Open of Mountain Biking, marking the return of elite downhill racing to the location. The event drew hundreds of professional and amateur athletes from around the world to Park City, Utah, featuring challenging sections such as the Little Niagara trail.

Following the high-level competition, the community held the annual Tour des Suds. Organized by the Mountain Trails Foundation, this event featured a seven-mile climb from City Park to Empire Pass. Unlike the professional US Open, Tour des Suds emphasized a playful atmosphere, with participants often wearing costumes while completing the 2,200-foot elevation gain.
