Deezer to implement AI music filter for search results
Music streaming platform Deezer has announced it will allow users to filter out songs, albums, and artists generated entirely by artificial intelligence from its search results. The feature, which will function as a simple on-off toggle, is expected to roll out globally before the end of 2026.
While Deezer has already excluded AI-generated music from its algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists since 2025, this new update extends the control to the search function. The platform utilizes a proprietary detector capable of identifying tracks created by tools such as Suno, Udio, or Riffusion, claiming a 99.8% accuracy rate.
Deezer reports a significant influx of AI content, receiving nearly 90,000 AI-generated tracks daily, which can account for over 50% of total daily uploads during peak periods. However, the platform noted that AI music accounts for only 1% to 3% of total streams, and as much as 85% of those AI streams were identified as fraudulent in 2025.
