Defibrillator donations by Confasi and Edison bolster community health in Italy

The Confasi union handed a life‑saving defibrillator to the ASD Master youth basketball team in Palermo. The ceremony, attended by coach Vincenzo Mormino and regional Confasi president Davide Lercara, highlighted the device’s role in protecting young athletes during competitive sport.

In Brindisi, utility company Edison donated a semi‑automatic defibrillator to the FederSpev union and the Aisa association. Delivered by Edison’s representative Lavinia Bellioni to Federspev president Efisio Renato Poddi and Aisa councilor Salvatore Brigante, the unit will be installed in Aisa’s clinic and used as a training tool for first‑aid courses aimed at the general public. Local officials, including the Brindisi vice‑mayor and the president of the medical order, praised the contribution as a significant step toward community safety and health education.
