Del Monte Corp reports Q2 2026 earnings, lifts outlook after Del Monte Foods acquisition
Del Monte Corporation posted second‑quarter 2026 net sales of $1.2 billion and a gross profit of $121 million, up 20 % and 36 % respectively from the prior quarter. Operating income rose to $33.5 million versus $20 million in Q1, though it fell 51 % year‑on‑year. The results were driven by the March 2026 acquisition of Del Monte Foods, which expanded the company's prepared‑foods platform.
CEO Mohammad Abu‑Ghazaleh said the combined business now comprises a global fresh‑produce operation and a higher‑margin shelf‑stable foods segment. CFO Monica Vicente raised the Del Monte Foods outlook to $625 million in net sales and $35 million adjusted EBITDA for 2026, up from prior expectations of $600 million and $23 million. The company cited pricing actions, product‑portfolio changes and trade‑spending optimization that should add roughly $9 million of margin in 2026‑27. Service levels improved, achieving 95 % on‑time delivery, and a new “pink‑glow pineapple” product is slated for launch later in 2026.
