Titan Capital holding is liquidated in the Cayman Islands
The Supreme Court of the Cayman Islands has ordered the definitive liquidation of Titan Capital, a holding company controlled by Daniel Vorcaro, the former controller of Banco Master. The court appointed three liquidators from Grant Thornton Specialist Services—John Royle, Margot MacInnis, and Kevin Hellard—to manage the company's assets and track its financial operations.
Investigations by Brazil's Financial Activities Control Council (Coaf) and the Federal Police indicate that Titan Capital was used in a scheme involving asset stripping and money laundering related to Banco Master. According to Coaf, approximately R$ 700 million was transferred from the bank's investment fund quotas to the holding company between January and July 2025.
Major creditors include the cryptocurrency firm Tether, which is seeking a $300 million loan, and Grupo Fictor. The liquidation is expected to have international reach through judicial cooperation agreements, affecting assets in other tax havens. This follows previous actions in Brazil, where the Central Bank had blocked the company's assets in March, after which a "new Titan Capital" was established in the United Kingdom.
