Liquidation of Titan Capital

Overview

The Supreme Court of the Cayman Islands ordered the liquidation of Titan Capital, a holding company controlled by Daniel Vorcaro, the former controller of Banco Master. To manage the company's assets and track financial operations, the court appointed three liquidators from Grant Thornton Specialist Services, effectively removing former directors and owners from access to the company's accounts.

Investigations by Brazil's Financial Activities Control Council (Coaf) and the Federal Police suggest Titan Capital was used in an asset stripping and money laundering scheme involving Banco Master. Coaf reported that approximately R$ 700 million was transferred from the bank's investment fund quotas to the holding company between January and July 2025.

The liquidation process is expected to involve international judicial cooperation to reach assets in other jurisdictions. This legal action follows earlier interventions in Brazil, where the Central Bank blocked the company's assets in March.
