Delcir Sonda donates R$ 20 million to Sport Club Internacional

Businessman Delcir Sonda has pledged a donation of R$ 20 million to the Brazilian football club Sport Club Internacional. The news was announced by club counselor and presidential candidate Roberto Melo following a meeting in São Paulo.

The funds are intended to provide immediate financial relief to the institution, specifically to settle outstanding salary obligations for players and staff. This extraordinary revenue is expected to clear pending debts without disrupting the club's monthly cash flow.

Melo, who met with Sonda after the businessman had been recovering from medical issues, has contacted club president Alessandro Barcellos to assist in the formalization of the donation. Melo emphasized that the contribution reflects Sonda's long-standing emotional connection and history of supporting the club's strategic needs.
