Delhi BJP chief Harsh Malhotra joins Yamuna cleanliness drive

Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra participated in a cleanliness drive at the Yamuna riverbanks on Sunday, using the event to criticize the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) administration regarding river pollution.

Malhotra alleged that the previous government under Arvind Kejriwal failed to implement any concrete plans to clean the river despite making promises to the public. He further questioned the utilization of approximately 2,900 crore rupees provided by the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for river sanitation, claiming no effective action plan was attached to these funds.

In contrast, Malhotra stated that the current BJP government, led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, has developed a plan to clean a 33-kilometer stretch of the Yamuna flowing through the national capital.
