Delhi Development Authority launches GIS digital map for MPD-2047
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched a Geographic Information System (GIS) based interactive digital map for the Land Use Plan under the Master Plan for Delhi-2047 (MPD-2047). This tool allows citizens to search, zoom, and pinpoint specific locations or properties down to the plot level to view designated land-use information online.
The digital platform incorporates multiple thematic layers, including land pooling areas, Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) zones, Dwarka Sub-City, Rohini Project Layout, PM-UDAY colonies, and DDA parks. The map categorizes land into nine major types—Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Recreation, Transport, Utility, Government, Public and Semi-Public Facilities, and Agriculture and Water Body—using distinct color coding for easy identification.
Designed to be continuously updated, the GIS-based map aims to provide greater clarity on the spatial distribution of planning components across Delhi and reduce the need for citizens to visit local offices or rely on third parties for land-use data.
