Delhi government launches road and drainage infrastructure projects

The Delhi government has initiated several infrastructure development projects aimed at improving connectivity and civic amenities across various sectors. Under the ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’, construction of roads, streets, and drains has commenced in Rohini’s Upvan Apartment and the Khera Garhi Extension to address long-standing local issues and improve drainage facilities.

In northeast Delhi, PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh announced an integrated Rs 125 crore project to revamp the 7.1-kilometre Burari Road corridor. The plan includes developing a 3.2-km bituminous road stretch and a 3.9-km concrete (RCC) section. Additionally, a Rs 75 crore comprehensive drainage network will be constructed over 9.3 km to mitigate waterlogging concerns. The drainage work has already been tendered, with roadwork tenders expected within ten days.
