Delhi High Court appoints seven new judges and new Registrar General

The Delhi High Court has undergone significant administrative and judicial changes following the swearing-in of seven new judges. Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya administered the oaths to the new appointees, which include Justices Nivedita Anil Sharma, Nisha Sahay Saxena, Sanjay Sharma, Bharat Parashar, Aditi Choudhary, Dinesh Bhatt, and Arun Bhardwaj.

With these appointments, the court's total strength has risen to 50 judges against a sanctioned strength of 60. The new judges were appointed following recommendations from the Supreme Court collegium.

In a related administrative move, Reetesh Singh has been appointed as the new Registrar General of the Delhi High Court on deputation, effective September 22. Singh, an officer of the Delhi Higher Judicial Service, succeeds Arun Bhardwaj, who transitioned from the role of Registrar General to the High Court Bench as an additional judge.
