CISF personnel suspended after alleged misconduct in Delhi Metro

A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel has been suspended following allegations of misconduct involving a female passenger on the Delhi Metro. The incident occurred near the AIIMS Metro Station on the Yellow Line.

According to reports and viral social media footage, passengers confronted an ASI-rank official after accusing him of secretly photographing a woman inside a metro coach. The confrontation reportedly escalated into a scuffle when commuters attempted to check the official's mobile phone gallery, where images of the woman were allegedly found.

Some eyewitness accounts claim the situation turned more severe when the jawan allegedly pointed his service pistol at passengers, causing panic both inside the coach and on the platform. However, police sources have noted that while the altercation occurred, they have not received a formal complaint and could not confirm the claims regarding the use of a firearm.

The CISF has stated it views the matter with ‘utmost seriousness at the highest levels’ and has ordered a detailed inquiry into the incident. The accused official remains under suspension pending the results of the investigation.
