Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: Four cars targeted in stone-pelting incident
Miscreants targeted four cars with heavy stone pelting on the Delhi-Mumbai 8-lane expressway near the Ratlam border. The incident occurred late Saturday night between Thandla in Jhabua and Rawati in the Ratlam district.
Drivers managed to avoid stopping by driving directly to the Dhamnod toll plaza to seek safety. The attacks resulted in broken windows and windshields for all four vehicles, and two to three passengers sustained minor injuries from flying stones. One of the targeted vehicles belonged to BJP district vice president Sonu Yadav, though he was not present at the time.
This marks the second such incident on this stretch of the expressway within ten days, following a similar attack on a businessman's car on August 7. Local police have launched search operations in the Jhabua-Ratlam border areas to apprehend the perpetrators as concerns grow regarding traveler safety on the highway.
