Delhi-NCR air pollution rises as rainfall ceases

Air pollution levels are rising across the Delhi-NCR region following the cessation of recent rainfall. The India Meteorological Department forecasts clear skies and stable temperatures for the coming days, which is contributing to the accumulation of pollutants.

In Greater Noida, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in the Knowledge Park-5 area has reached 330, placing it in the ‘very poor’ category. Knowledge Park-3 also recorded a high AQI of 209.

In Delhi, the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) reported elevated pollution levels in several areas, including Chandni Chowk (235), Anand Vihar (208), and Bawana (203). Similarly, Ghaziabad is experiencing deteriorating air quality, with Loni recording an AQI of 203 and Vasundhara at 187.
