Delhi Police apprehend two Ugandan nationals for overstaying

Two Ugandan women, identified as Doreen Ampurire and Gorret Adong, have been apprehended by the Delhi Police in the Uttam Nagar area for overstaying their permitted period in India.

The arrests were part of a special police drive intended to identify foreign nationals residing in the country without valid legal documentation and to verify the status of individuals with registered criminal cases. Following an interrogation in which the women failed to produce authorized papers to establish lawful residency, police initiated the deportation process.

The operation was conducted under the direction of Dwarka District DCP Kushal Pal Singh and involved technical surveillance and human intelligence to trace the individuals within the locality.
