Delhi police arrest drug peddler with 60.52 grams of heroin
The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of the Shahdara district police arrested a 22-year-old man, identified as Sohil, following a covert operation in Delhi. During the interception near Shastri Park in the Gandhi Nagar area, officers recovered 60.52 grams of heroin from the suspect's possession.
Sohil, a resident of the Badaun district in Uttar Pradesh, was reportedly intercepted on September 9 after police received intelligence regarding his movements. Authorities stated he was expected to deliver the contraband to a receiver at the time of his arrest. In addition to the heroin, police seized a mobile phone.
A case has been registered at the Gandhi Nagar police station under Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Following interrogation, the suspect identified a supplier, prompting police to conduct raids at suspected hideouts of various individuals involved in the distribution network.
