Indian police dismantle major interstate drug networks

Law enforcement agencies in India have conducted several major operations targeting interstate narcotics networks. In a joint operation by the Ahmedabad and Surat Crime Branches, police seized approximately 4.5 kg of heroin and 2.5 kg of mephedrone near the CTM Express Highway toll plaza. The drugs, valued at roughly ₹25.7 crore, were being transported by three men with criminal histories linked to smuggling and human trafficking.

Separately, the Delhi Police Special Staff dismantled a manufacturing and supply network spanning Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand. This operation resulted in the arrest of seven individuals and the seizure of 8.128 kg of heroin, estimated to have an international market value of ₹60 crore. Authorities also recovered drug-manufacturing equipment, raw chemicals, and cash during the raids.

In other regional incidents, Delhi Police resolved a murder in the Seelampur area within hours, apprehending six individuals, including two minors, following a fatal altercation. Additionally, a violent clash involving gunfire and stabbing in Govindpuri, South Delhi, left three people injured, with police investigating the incident as a result of long-standing enmity.
