Violent stabbing incidents in Delhi

Recent reports indicate a series of violent stabbing incidents in various areas of Delhi involving retaliatory or altercation-based motives.

In the Trilokpuri area of East Delhi, police apprehended three juveniles following a retaliatory attack on a 17-year-old boy on the night of September 23. The assault was reportedly an act of vengeance for an altercation that occurred approximately two weeks prior, during which the victim and his associates had allegedly beaten one of the juveniles. The victim was transferred from LBS Hospital to the AIIMS Trauma Centre and is reported to be stable. Police recovered two knives used in the attack and are searching for a fourth juvenile suspect; a case for attempt to murder has been registered.

In a separate incident in Seelampur, police arrested six suspects, including two minors, following the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man during a confrontation in Central Park. The attack reportedly began when a group objected to the victim and a friend smoking, leading to a scuffle. The investigation was resolved by police within hours of the incident.

Additionally, a violent clash involving gunfire and stabbing occurred in Govindpuri, South Delhi, leaving three people injured. Police are investigating the incident as a result of long-standing enmity.
