Delhi Police investigate vandalism at Shivaji Stadium Metro Station
Delhi Police have registered a case following the discovery of unauthorized posters and black ink markings at the Shivaji Stadium Metro Station on the Airport Express Line. The incident, reported to have occurred on October 24, involved posters found near Emergency Gate No. 5 and ink writing on a shaft wall near Gate No. 7.
The IGI Airport Metro Police have booked an unidentified individual under the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act and the Metro Railways Act. This follows a similar incident on October 20, where posters criticizing the central government's performance were found inside a train on the same line. Those previous posters included a QR code and the heading “Dissatisfied? You Are Not Alone.”
Authorities are investigating whether these incidents are part of a larger conspiracy. Former Delhi Police DCP LN Rao stated that the investigation aims to determine the identity of those responsible, their instructions, and their underlying motives.
