Delhi Police reshuffles senior officers ahead of BRICS Summit

The Delhi Police has implemented a major reshuffle of senior officers, marking the first significant reorganization since Anurag Kumar assumed the role of Police Commissioner. The administrative changes come in preparation for the 18th BRICS Summit, which is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on September 12-13.

Key appointments include 1996-batch IPS officer Ajay Chaudhary, who has been reassigned to lead the traffic division. His batchmate, Manish Aggarwal, has transitioned from Special CP (Traffic) to take charge of the security unit. Other notable assignments include Garima Bhatnagar, who will serve as Special CP/EOW with additional responsibilities as MD of the Delhi Police Housing Corporation Limited, and Vivek Kishore, appointed as Special CP for SPUWAC and licensing.

Additional leadership changes involve Sindhu Pillai, who will oversee the Perception Management and Media Cell alongside Vigilance, and Veenu Bansal, who joins from Rashtrapati Bhavan as Joint CP for SPUWAC-SPUNER. The reshuffle also affects various range heads, including Suman Goyal for the Western Range, Milind Mahadev Dumbre for the Eastern Range, and Nupur Prasad for the New Delhi Range.
