Delhi Police Seizes 424 Banned Chinese Manjha Reels in Major Racket Bust

Delhi Police's Special Staff of the Central District seized 424 packed reels of banned Chinese manjha – a kite‑flying thread prohibited for its danger to humans, birds and public safety – during a raid on a suspected storage site in the national capital. One suspect was arrested and a case was filed, with investigators working to trace the supply chain and identify other participants in the illegal trade.

In a separate incident reported alongside the raid, police arrested a man after he allegedly beat his 60‑year‑old mother, Chinta Devi, to death in UP Colony, Kharak Gaon village, after she refused to give him money for liquor. The victim’s younger son, Amod, is accused of the assault. The murder case has also been registered for further investigation.
