Delhi Records 212 Dengue, 62 Malaria and 14 Chikungunya Cases with No Fatalities

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi released its weekly vector‑borne disease report for the week ending late July 2026, showing a total of 212 dengue, 62 malaria and 14 chikungunya cases recorded in the city so far this year. No deaths have been linked to any of the three illnesses.

Six new dengue infections, four malaria cases and one chikungunya case were logged during the latest week. Most cases originated in areas under the MCD's jurisdiction—194 dengue, 59 malaria and 13 chikungunya—while the remaining cases were reported from the New Delhi Municipal Council, the Delhi Cantonment Board and Indian Railways. Najafgarh reported the highest dengue count (40), followed by West (36) and Central (28). For malaria, the West zone led with 16 cases, followed by South (10) and Central (9). Compared with the same period in 2025, the current figures are lower than the previous year's 277 dengue, 124 malaria and 18 chikungunya cases.
