Delhi University opens registrations for one-year PG programmes and starts Phase 2 UG admissions

The University of Delhi has opened online registration for its new one‑year postgraduate (PG) programmes, which are open to students who have completed a four‑year undergraduate degree under the National Education Policy‑2020 framework. Admissions will be merit‑based and candidates must apply through the portal pgportal.uod.ac.in, with the deadline for undergraduate preference filing on 11 July 2026.

In parallel, the university has announced a two‑year M.Sc. in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology for candidates who passed the Graduate Aptitude Test‑Biotechnology (GAT‑B) 2026. Applications for this course are also accepted via the same portal.

Delhi University has simultaneously launched Phase 2 of its undergraduate admissions under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). Eligible applicants can log in to the admission portal, submit programme and college preferences and make corrections between 10 July and 11 July. Simulated ranks will be released on 12 July, with the first seat‑allocation list scheduled for 16 July. The university reported receiving 148,407 undergraduate applications, of which 62,524 candidates have entered Phase 2. Additional allocation lists for performance‑based programmes are set for 9 July.
