Delhi University logs 65,000 admissions applications and unveils 2026‑27 academic calendar
Delhi University (DU) reported 65,343 registrations for undergraduate admission for the 2026‑27 session under Phase 1 of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). Registrations were accepted through the CUET UG 2026 portal, with a non‑refundable fee of ₹250 for unreserved, OBC‑NCL and EWS candidates and ₹100 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. The university’s data showed that Shri Ram College of Commerce received the most first‑preference applications (38,795), followed by Hindu College (31,901) and Hansraj College (15,902).
In the same notification, DU released the academic calendar for the 2026‑27 session. First‑semester classes for odd semesters will start on 28 July 2026, with the autumn vacation from 18‑25 October. Even‑semester classes begin on 1 January 2027, followed by a mid‑semester break 21‑28 March. Theory exams are scheduled from 4 December 2026 and 13 May 2027 respectively, and the summer vacation runs 3 June‑20 July 2027.
