Delhi University launches Phase I of 2026‑27 UG admissions via CSAS portal

The University of Delhi has opened Phase I of undergraduate admissions for the 2026‑27 academic session. More than 71,000 seats across 67 colleges and 73 programmes – including over 100 BA combinations – are available. Registrations are being accepted on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal using only the CUET‑UG 2026 application number.

Admissions will be based solely on CUET‑UG scores, with Class 12 marks used only as a tie‑breaker. The university has integrated applicants’ details through the Government of India’s API Setu to reduce data‑entry errors. A non‑refundable registration fee of Rs 250 applies to general, OBC‑NCL and EWS candidates, and Rs 100 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.

Dean of Admissions Haneet Gandhi said, “The registrations have been opened in the first phase. The second phase will definitely be opened by next week.” Phase II will allow students to map their CUET subjects to Class 12 subjects and submit their college‑programme preferences. The portal will remain open for several weeks to let CBSE re‑evaluation marks be updated if needed.
