Delhi University student groups launch manifesto campaigns ahead of elections

Student organizations at Delhi University are launching campaigns to gather student input for their upcoming manifestos ahead of the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections.

The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) reported receiving nearly 6,000 suggestions from students through its ‘My Campus, My Manifesto’ drive. The organization plans to analyze these inputs to create a student-centric manifesto. The campaign has been active across various colleges for the past week.

Simultaneously, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has launched its own ‘My DU, My Manifesto’ campaign. ABVP is utilizing QR codes and volunteers to collect student concerns and expectations. The organization stated that the goal is to ensure the manifesto reflects the real needs and aspirations of the student body rather than being drafted by a select few.

The DUSU elections are scheduled for September 18, with the counting of votes expected to take place on September 19.
