University of Delhi announces admission rounds and new one‑year postgraduate programmes

The Ministry of Education reported that 107 higher‑education institutions, including 18 medical colleges, received show‑cause notices in 2025 for failing to comply with the Anti‑Ragging Regulations of 2009, such as not securing student undertakings and not submitting compliance reports.

Delhi Technological University launched two six‑month executive education programmes on renewable energy management and corporate sustainability in partnership with ed‑tech platform VCnow, targeting working professionals from India, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.

The University of Delhi (DU) conducted the second round of undergraduate admissions under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS‑UG) 2026, allocating fresh seats to 24,814 candidates and upgrading 30,682 others. Applicants had to accept their seats by 11:59 PM on 27 July, after which colleges will verify applications and the academic session begins on 28 July.

DU’s Non‑Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) published its first cut‑off list for BCom and BA programmes, with admissions opening on 28 July.

The University of Delhi’s School of Open Learning introduced one‑year postgraduate programmes in Commerce, Political Science, History, Hindi and Sanskrit for FYUP graduates, alongside a new Data Analytics minor elective, starting from the 2026‑27 academic year.
