Delhi weather forecast predicts isolated rain and moderate air quality

Delhi and the surrounding National Capital Region (NCR) are expected to experience isolated rain and thunderstorms, though the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued warnings for heavy rainfall. Forecasts indicate partly cloudy skies with temperatures ranging between 22 and 35 degrees Celsius. While some areas may see very light rain accompanied by lightning on October 9, clear skies are predicted for the remainder of the week.

Air quality in the capital remains a concern, fluctuating between moderate and poor categories. The average Air Quality Index (AQI) for the first week of October has reached 171, marking the most polluted first week of October in three years. Specific monitoring stations, including Dwarka Sector 8, Mundka, and IIT Delhi, have recorded elevated AQI levels as the southwest monsoon continues its withdrawal from central parts of the country.
