Delio supermarket introduces home collection for deposit system returns

The online supermarket Delio, part of the Żabka Group, has launched a new service allowing customers to return deposit-system packaging during grocery deliveries. Instead of visiting collection points or reverse vending machines, customers can hand over up to four bags (up to 60 liters each) to a courier when receiving their order.

The service is currently available in Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, and the Upper Silesian Metropolis (GZM). Customers can choose to have their deposit funds transferred directly to a bank account or donated to the Fundacja Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę.

The logistics and processing of these returns are managed by Reselekt from the Eneris Group and EcoAction. Future plans include expanding the service to include the collection of branded paper bags.
