Delivery Hero raises 2026 guidance amid Uber takeover bid

Delivery Hero has raised its financial guidance for 2026 following a strong first half of the year. The company now expects Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) to grow by 9-11 percent and adjusted EBITDA to reach between 960 million and 1 billion euros.

These updates come amid an ongoing takeover bid by Uber, which has offered 41.50 euros per share in cash, valuing the Berlin-based company at approximately 13 billion euros. The tender period for shareholders to accept the offer is currently active and runs until November 5.

As part of the transition, Delivery Hero plans to divest its operations in 14 countries to SSW Partners for 1.4 billion euros, reducing its market footprint by 22 percent to eliminate direct competition with Uber. The transaction is projected to close in the second half of 2027.

In the first half of the year, Delivery Hero reported an adjusted EBITDA of 426.7 million euros and revenue growth of 17.8 percent, totaling 7.8 billion euros. The company is also increasingly focusing on subscription models to drive customer loyalty in competitive markets like South Korea and Saudi Arabia.
