Delivery Hero leadership endorses Uber’s $14.8 billion takeover bid

The management and supervisory boards of Delivery Hero have officially endorsed Uber’s $14.8 billion (approximately €12.77 billion) takeover bid. The company’s leadership recommended that shareholders accept the offer, which provides €41.50 per share. This price represents a significant premium over recent trading averages.

Uber currently holds a substantial economic interest in Delivery Hero, including approximately 24.77% in direct voting rights and an additional 11.74% through financial instruments. To complete the acquisition, Uber requires a minimum acceptance threshold of 50% plus one share. The acceptance period is scheduled to run until November 5.

In its recent quarterly report, Delivery Hero showed strong operational growth, with revenue increasing by 17.7% to €4 billion and Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) rising 11.3% to €13.2 billion. The company also raised its annual guidance, projecting GMV growth of 9% to 11% for 2026.
