Googlebook platform leaks reveal Asus, Dell, and Lenovo models

Leaks are providing increasing detail regarding Google's upcoming 'Googlebook' laptop platform, which integrates Android, ChromeOS, and Gemini AI features. Major manufacturers including Asus, Dell, and Lenovo are expected to be part of the initial launch wave, with official debuts anticipated in the fall of 2026, potentially at IFA Berlin.

Asus is reported to be developing a premium model (code-named Lapis/CX9406) featuring a lightweight ceramic-alloy chassis, Intel Core Ultra processors, and a distinctive lid-mounted "Glow Bar" for system alerts. Dell is also linked to the project through benchmark leaks of a potential XPS 13 model, which may utilize Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processors and run development builds of Android 17.

Lenovo is reportedly preparing multiple devices, including a 2-in-1 laptop with a detachable keyboard and stylus. The Googlebook ecosystem aims to move beyond traditional Chromebooks by focusing on high-performance hardware, premium materials, and deep integration between mobile and desktop environments.
