Delta Air Lines expands free Wi-Fi to all Pacific routes
Delta Air Lines has launched free in-flight Wi-Fi services on all Pacific routes, including those between Japan and the United States. Provided by T-Mobile, this expansion makes Delta the only global airline to offer free Wi-Fi across all cabin classes on all international flights spanning six continents.
The service is available to SkyMiles members regardless of their class of service. Passengers can use the connection for messaging, emailing, web browsing, photo sharing, and video streaming on their own devices. To access the service, members must log in via the DeltaWiFi.com network while in airplane mode.
In conjunction with the Pacific expansion, Delta has also begun operating new satellite communications over the Americas to increase network capacity and ensure a more stable connection. Currently, approximately 1,300 aircraft—representing over 95% of the fleet—are equipped with Wi-Fi. The airline aims to have Wi-Fi installed on its entire fleet by early 2027.
