Delta Air Lines expands free Wi-Fi to trans-Pacific routes
Delta Air Lines has received regulatory approval to extend its fast, free Delta Sync Wi-Fi service across its trans-Pacific network. The rollout is scheduled to begin later this month and will expand progressively over the following weeks.
This expansion represents the final step in the airline’s plan to provide global connectivity across six continents. With more than 95% of its fleet—nearly 1,300 aircraft—already equipped with Wi-Fi, the trans-Pacific activation will make Delta the only U.S. global carrier to offer free Wi-Fi across its entire global route network. The service, presented by T-Mobile, is intended to allow passengers to work, stream, and message during long-haul flights.
