Delta Governor Oborevwori Names New Commissioners, Supports Law Graduates

On Tuesday, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori swore in new commissioners and officials, urging them to uphold integrity, professionalism and accountability as part of his MORE agenda. The appointments included Brave Enodeh and Moses Ogodo as Commissioners, Cosmas Igbenije to the governing board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, and Chief Joseph Ojobu, Chief James Obeuwou and Fun‑Ebi Edonyabo to the Delta State Judicial Service Commission. Oborevwori emphasized leadership, transparency and development of oil‑producing communities, stating that “your actions should inspire public confidence and reinforce our administration’s commitment to the MORE Agenda.”

He also approved financial assistance for 533 Delta indigenes who graduated from the Nigerian Law School in the 2025 session. The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board announced that the aid, aimed at easing the financial burden on new lawyers, will be disbursed after beneficiaries submit required documents between 23‑29 July 2026.
