Delta State Governor appoints governing councils for three universities

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has approved the constitution of Governing Councils for three state-owned universities: the University of Delta, Agbor; Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba; and Southern Delta University, Ozoro.

Professor Victor Peretomode has been appointed Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council for the University of Delta, Agbor. For Dennis Osadebay University, Professor Patrick Muoboghare will serve as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman. Chief Godson Echegile has been named Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council at Southern Delta University.

The appointments are intended to strengthen the administration and management of these institutions as they expand their academic programmes and institutional development.
