Delta State Police arrest six cultists and intercept illicit drugs

The Delta State Police Command has conducted several intelligence-led operations resulting in the arrest of multiple suspects and the seizure of various illicit items.

In one operation, police intercepted a Toyota Sienna traveling from Anambra State toward Ondo State. The vehicle contained cartons of suspected Tramadol and other illicit drugs, along with military camouflage items including uniforms, boots, and hats. A 45-year-old driver, Isaac Urji, was arrested during the interception.

In separate operations targeting cultism and kidnapping, police arrested six suspected members of the Neo Black Movement (Black Axe) Confraternity in the Ika South and Aniocha North Local Government Areas. Recovered items from these arrests included four firearms, six cartridges, a locally fabricated single-barrel gun, a battle axe, cutlasses, mobile phones, a laptop, and military camouflage uniforms. The suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
