Dementia support initiatives launched in Maintal and Fulda

Various regional initiatives in Germany are providing specialized support and information for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.

In Maintal, the Seniorenberatung is hosting a series of free events to address common challenges. Upcoming sessions include a presentation by Bettina Kreller on October 16, 2026, regarding environmental barriers and home adaptations for those with dementia. On November 6, 2026, Sigrid Bergmann will discuss legal representation, including legal guardianship and powers of attorney.

In the Fulda region, the Herz-Jesu-Krankenhaus recently hosted a successful information day organized in coordination with the Fulda district care center. The event brought together various network partners to address topics such as medication safety, rights and duties of caregivers, and ways to reduce the burden on family members. Further information sessions regarding dementia and elderly living are planned for the coming months.
