Democratic Republic of the Congo addresses institutional dialogue and security tensions

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, government officials are addressing both internal institutional stability and external security threats. Minister of State for Relations with Parliament, Guy Loando Mboyo, highlighted efforts to strengthen dialogue between the executive and legislative branches. This initiative aims to prevent institutional crises and modernize parliamentary work to ensure the effective implementation of public policies.

Simultaneously, Minister of Communication and Media Patrick Muyaya addressed ongoing peace processes and security tensions. Muyaya denounced initiatives involving Joseph Kabila and the M23 movement, characterizing them as threats to established institutions. He also called for the withdrawal of Rwandan troops from Congolese territory, linking the neutralization of the FDLR to security commitments. Additionally, Muyaya announced an upcoming meeting regarding a coordination agreement between the DRC and the United States and noted that Congolese authorities expressed disapproval to Belgium regarding the conditions of certain recent searches.
